all white cars!
same here. any others with that stripe on it, never seen it before.
What a sweet 1982 T-Top. Love it! but the price is out of my reach.
Really interesting car. I too have never seen this stripe.

Nice...wonder if he kept the original battery casing. If so, this would be a ringer for a concourse entry...as long as you could sell the stripes...
HAD
'82 GT monochromatic (red)...black cloth
HAVE
'85 GT vert two tone (white on charcoal)...white leather
'00 F350 two tone (white on silver)...gray cloth
'00 Excursion Limited two tone (white on tan)...tan leather...wifes ride
'08 Taurus Limited ice blue...tan leather...daughter ride
'08 Edge Limited white sand tri-coat metallic...tan leather...other daughters ride
It would be just as concours correct without the stripes....which I would have to remove
Ended at $9,600. If it didn't have a reserve and actually trades hands at this price....well major kudos to the buyer, thats a hell of a deal for a 11k mile all original car that will no doubt eclipse $20k someday soon.

Stripes are a fine example of late 70's early 80's funk. I like it!
A set of 80's multi color Recardo's would complete the look and tie it all together.
Not to bring up distasteful memories, but the ad text reminds me of ... who was it ... Everhart?

LOL! Yeah Everhart would have said the car was pulled from the production line by secretary to VP of Ford's design team and sent directly to Larry Shinoda where he personally designed the stripes to match her couch. He had all the documentation but unfortunately it was destroyed when Mount St Helens erupted.

Now that was just funny as h*ll!!! Let's not forget about his sick dad, who actually passed away in a previous ad for another car.

Ha Ha. I had forgotten about those outlandish stories. You creative types could probably entertain us all with a dedicated thread which includes the most ridiculous story tied to your car.
