Why would you pin a hood to this car? I would understand if it had a big intake, but a stock low mileage car, WHY?????
83 Mustang GT , A5 5 speed, 31 spline Cobra rear, LMR TRX, 302 11r 190 heads, Buddy Rawls custom cam
86 Capri , 342 stroker , AFR 185 heads, Track Heat intake, 3.73 gears
Per the ad description, it appears that the Seller does have the original hood. Several mods on this low mileage car.
I don't mind a nice hood, I do however mind the pins on a street car. Always makes me think it's a cheap hood, poorly done. Now if it was needed to fit an intake, and you already had the hood, well then I could understand.

Very clean looking car! Easily a $10k car as it sits, even closer to his price if the original exhaust and hood is included and in the same condition. Love the faux Sterns...and easy to add a set of clean 10-holes if you want the concours look.

I love mods........I don't care if the car has 10k miles. Tasteful mods......I can't stand 8's up front and 10's in the rear on a fox. Same all around.
Does anyone else find it "interesting" how allot of these low mile cars all have the numbers uneven on the odometer ? Its a nice car and Im not talking about this one car but allot of low millage cars in general.
A bunch of 85gt's
Ha. Pictures of it half under a cover, up on jack stands. Tool Bag. I wouldn't give much for it based on the pictures. That's why CL is free.

EDIT> I think sowaxman could be right. I still think the car has been totally overhauled but he makes some valid points too.

I wouldn't argue one way or the other on the mileage until I saw it. I certainly would not call that car a basket-case based on what I see in the pics however. A lot of people store there cars on jack-stands for the winter to save the tires. As for half uncovering...probably just lazy. I'd certainly have to see it in person to tell if it is a true low mile, un-restored car.

I have noticed the same thing on many of the ones lately that are showing low miles.....my guess is that they have been over once.
I bought an 86 GT Vert showing 58,000 that I would have sworn was original by the condition of pedals, driver's seat, steering wheel, and overall condition, but the odometer digits were uneven so I bought a carfax that showed it had turned 100,000 several years earlier?
I think the folks that I bought it from weren't trying to trick me, they simply didn't know.......it could be the same on some of these that are now showing up for sale.

I never seem to get the nut that holds the steering wheel fixed
It is very common for the numbers on the odometer to not be perfectly aligned. These old mechanical odo's are notorious for numbers not being straight across. The further out you get (meaning the 5th digit), the longer it takes for it to creep up to the center point. Both of my cars with less than 20k miles, the leading 1 is still hanging low. Also, the numbers seem to get mis-aligned over time from going back & forth from reverse to forward.
