Well done. Props to the 86.

    Preservation of automotive history, right?

The bike is a serious adrenal gland pump, dude. But any 86 driver will understand the feeling of a great weight to power ratio!....

My 2 years 2011 to late 2012 as a "Green For Go" Tagger.....Kiwi shore import detalier...spent most of it in other peoples US import Chevies....396's, 45ths, Vettes are just loved so much by Kiwis (the vast majority of imports are Chevs) and then the best hard core Fords.

I see the same trend...GM's and then a really mint 65-73, Fox or Fox4 or S197. What the GM has is mainstream options, while Ford kinda sheparded the really awesome guns out to others.

My fav was one guy askin me to tell him when his 45 th Anni arrived.

I told him I was a Ford guy, and so I didn't know what a 426 hp 45 th Anniversay Camaro SS was...

Serious but stupid sounding question. Did you use the hacksaw to cut the tubes? I would imagine these need to be cut pretty square, correct?
I've never seen this done and I'm curious for future reference.

I did it with the hacksaw yes, but it can be done with an air tool or something else. You need 1/8" lip left. I measured it and then added 1/8" to the cut line. I came back with my grinder to dress the surface. The instructions say to make sure that the C-Clip eliminator fits flush to the flange area. I will be pressing them on today hopefully and take some pictures to show what it should look like...This was the first time doing it so I took my time, I'm sure others have done it maybe they can chime in on there experiences...

Cool. No better than I can cut a straight line with a Portaband or any other power tool for that matter, I'm glad to hear it cuts ok with a hand hacksaw.

Looking forward to seeing how the next step goes.

It wasn't hard just took a little longer and I used 2 blades for each side just to keep the cut clean and straight as possible...

Only had a few hours to work on the GT so we pressed the C-Clips on the to Axles. Highly recommend a good press and strong blocks & take your time. On my Moser set up it need to be 2 3/8" from the outer axle shaft flange to the flat C-Clip block outer surface. Instructions are very clear...

I had c-clip eliminator on my '86. I bet you're finding out it's not that hard as long as you have the correct tools.

You have a really nice mustang, cars like yours help me to keep going on mine.

It's been fairly easy, right tools, shop and a lift makes it very easy on your back, but taking your time and following the instructions has been a satisfying experience... Thank you !

More progress from last night. Ford Racing Carbon Clutches, new Ford spider gears and Moser C-CLIP Eliminator Axles are all in. Decided to polish the Trick Flow girdle...need to finish it a little more. So far the build has gone great. No issue's but having a lift, good shop equipment and proper tools have made it a breeze. Following the instructions and carefully measuring is key to a good fitment for this build. I have never done this mod before and would recommend it. I know I didn't go 5 lugs but didn't feel the need for my use of the car at this point also wanted to keep cost down, maybe in the future but for now I'm satisfied...
