It's not me but I can appreciate it. I wish it had the Recaro seats but it's pretty bitchin' He will even trade you your GT500 for all 140HP of it.

This guy is nuts........not even a IROC-Z.lol. No tune port injection.36k!!!!! My god!!
Thats 145 hp! Wow. 36 grand. I mean its a real nice time capsule Z28, but low option...cranky windows, no a/c..pretty much a base car with no options. I'd say more like 20 grand is realistic. if it was a later 1LE TPI IROC, maybe he'd be in the ball park. Hell, I can find a low mile 89 Turbo TA for around that!

The 6 year old pictures don't exactly instill a lot of confidence either. For that much $$$ he should have up to date pictures.

I'll give him 2,000 bucks, 6 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Scots Dumpys, 1 milking goat with a crooked eye, and a 1983 Honda 3 wheeler with two flat tires. Final offer.
Atleast he wants to get rid of it for a mustang.
He should take it to Barrett Jackson. 80's performance is a very hot market right now. Car might bring over his asking price at auction.
I don't think I would give up the gimpy goat for a Camaro.
Seriously though, that is a damn nice example if it is still in the same shape as the pics indicate. Nowhere would I ever pay that much for that car, but it is refreshing to see something from the 80's still be immaculate.

I'm an FEP Supporter and proud of it. Are you?
The fact is that it's good for everyone if the '80s pseudo muscle-car (it's all we had) market is strong. I honestly didn't even remember seeing a 4 speed Z28 back in the day but I am sure I did.

IMO, when you're talking this kind of low mileage , price for trade is probably good. He says he'll take a Boss Mustang, which you can find for 25-30. Plus it's Craigslist if you don't list high, you get incredibly low offers.
If this was a 83 Mustang 5.0 5 speed with T-tops and 1800 miles I'd say 25-30g
83 Mustang GT , A5 5 speed, 31 spline Cobra rear, LMR TRX, 302 11r 190 heads, Buddy Rawls custom cam
86 Capri , 342 stroker , AFR 185 heads, Track Heat intake, 3.73 gears
Where's my mullet when I need it?!
My biggest problem with that generation of Camaro quite frankly was almost always the hemroid driving it. Unfortunately it has skewed my view of these cars.
The drivers are likely just as tired of seeing the tail lights on a fox.
Go get a shovel and bury it....

Kind of a cool speedometer. I've never seen one set up like that.
wow is there some gold or end of the rainbow in the trunk.....
I guess I should have taken my neighbors tpi 4 speed z28 when he offered to me (free).
I wanted a mustang and bought one instead.

1965 Mustang (in process)
I don't believe such a thing ever left the Chevrolet plant unless you mean 4 speed auto. Doesn't mean someone didn't take the 5 speed out of a TPI and replace it with a 4 speed but that would sure be a dumb idea to do.

The first year for TPI and IROC's was 85. Before that they were cross-fire injection and Z28's. 83 and up were 5speed but only with a carb until 87 then you could get a 305 TPI/ 5 speed combo. 350's were all TPI auto.

This is just another example of Barrett Jackson instilling a lot of delusions into folks out there. I bet the Camaro forums are going nuts on this guy just like we have been doing on the crack-pipe ebay/craigslist auctions for low mile Foxes. Maybe $20k tops for this car, which was probably barely $10k in 1982?
