They are originals and have the epoxy coating over the tri-bars.
Good condition but need cleaning and polishing.

Not doubting anything you said. Please don't take it that way. I had one of these back in '86 and mine did NOT have epoxy over the paint but I know what you are talking about because I have seen them. I actually liked it because I was able to touch them up with model paint to renew them. I am pretty confident they were original. It was an original 2 year old car. I wonder if some got the epoxy horses and others did not? Either way, Good Luck! I still have some NOS ones stashed in the attic.
