    Default Sandra Dee's Restoration

This is my 1985 mustang lx 3.8l convertible. Im in mid restoration. Car has good bones and low miles, pretty pristine interior. It runs but could use either an engine rebuild or replacement. Hoping to replace it with 5.0. Any pointers or advice is welcome. Love the car I've had it fir two years and never want to get rid of it.

Sharp lookin' 'vert. The 3.8's got a few quirks and likes/dislikes. I've nursed my tired 3.8 along that's really in need of V8 replacement as well for a few years now, and it's been reliable. After all these years, unless the transmission has gotten some attention, there's a couple things to do that will make sure it keeps on ticking. Any questions, shoot, there are plenty knowledgeable people here. Welcome to the site
