Super stupid question 1985 Convertible fuel door

I just bought the car and drove down to get gas. I went to open the gas door (mean open by hand) and it wouldn't open. Ok I now realize it has a remote open switch. So I got to the glove box thinking its got to be there, right? Nothing. I then go to the drivers side next to seat thinking it might be there or under the dash. Can't find it. Umm where is it?

It should be an orange button inside the glove box to the left hand side.
Also in the trunk should be a black handle on the right side to open it manually.
