    Default If you ever wondered what the guts of a regulator looked like...

    ...here you go. I nicked this image from a Russian website. The regulator comes from a Taurus of some vintage. Other than the burned parts it looks just like the one I removed from my 83 Capri. The only thing that is not shown is a power transistor that is soldered to the board next to the DY-1-0 silk-screening.

    Voltage regulator for the alternator. looks like this pretty much.
    1983 Mercury Capri, FPRP shorty headers, BBK H-pipe, Flowmaster cat-back exhaust, Lunati cam, stock 4180C carb, 4-spd SROD tranny. Pretty vanilla...
