Default Option top headliner material 85-86

Just heard back from my 2 big suppliers...
Neither can provide the thin unbacked vinyl headliner material.
If Robert Lashley at Erikson Fabrics can't get it, it's officially "hard to get".
He said in his experience that would be a specialty, Restoration company product.
    Sorry.

What color and what grain vinyl are you looking for? Did you try SMS in Oregon? They had the correct vinyl for my 84 SVO headliner.

Yes I have gotten a sample from SMS and it did not match. The Grey vinyl that came from the factory in the 85-86 T-Top cars.

Not having owned an 85-6 T-top car what grain are you looking for? I know the frustration of trying to find stuff that looks and feels correct when OEM quality stuff is not to be found. Having an 82 T-top car with Vanilla interior this is what I found after a 2+ year search. Name: image.jpg

It's a Tier grain foam backed cloth...not correct but at least it has the texture, look and feel of the Factory stuff. Closest I could get in this impossible to find color.
