    Default Thought i'd share-factory details

While disassembling my 79 Capri I found these details. Car has 38,000 miles and is as built. 200 6cyl with automatic transmission. Just thought these details could help someone.

Appears that there was some tags on the engine subframe. Looks like they were paper tags with wire ties. Also had a tag wired to the transmission housing.

Has these plastic protectors on the bleeders on front calipers.

Car still has original brake drums. They're not the aluminum ones as I've seen on Pace Cars.

Original exhaust with heat shield on muffler.

Wow, now THAT is a heat shield. What are the odds of that thing NOT rattling after the first pothole you hit? Slim to none. See something new every day. Thanks for posting!

One of these days I should crawl under my 86 tbird. Im at least the 3rd owner, but I got a bunch of documentation with it, including that it had 85k miles when it was registered in 1987 and had less then 100k miles for the next 25 years.

I even have the factory locking lug nuts in a brown paper bag that were never installed.
