Default Newest Addition (I know its not a fox, but too excited not to share!)

Many have followed the crazy rebuild of my '85 Dominator, and recently I picked up an 85.5 SVO and we are working on that. With that said, I had to share my latest addition. It's a testament to not sitting on Craigslist on a Saturday morning because you may end up with something that you weren't looking to buy.

    2012 BOSS 302

I've always loved these cars but couldn't justify the $45k to buy one. Heck, they still get $30k used. I found this locally (about 130 miles away). It was a lightly hit front end car that was deemed a repairable. The guy I bought it from has three 70's stangs and wanted to build a cabin in the Black Hills of SD so something had to go.

He had this re-done by the local Ford dealership (buddy of his worked there) and he is a manager of a parts store so he was able to get parts at cost. My son has done several rebuilders and he stated he couldn't tell it was ever hit. It has 12,000 miles on it and i picked it up for less than $20k! I have all the paperwork, window sticker, etc.

To get the car, my wife put her foot down and said something has to go so the '86 vert will be sold this spring. I know it's not a four eye per-say, but thanks for letting me share.

The 2011 and 2012's are my favorite body style with the 5.0 motor. I'd love to own just a GT but not in the cards right now. Congrats on the car, is that the glass roof or is it painted black?

Clearly you've never driven South Dakota roads in the winter, lots of rocks and sand to keep them driveable lol. Actually I also live on a gravel road and they are a mess due to melting so trailering it was the only real option.

I'll try to find some older pictures of the 86 and post them here. It only has 58k on the clock but like the boss had a minor accident early in it's life and has a damage disclosure of more than, get this, $1000. It is as nice a vert as you'll find, stock as heck except the wheels and i had 3:55 gears put in the rear when I bought it. It's a 5.0 5 spd, power top works, cruise works, power windows work, etc. Has air but never converted so isn't blowing cold right now (it's a vert, right!). Black with tan interior.

Title normal, just has old damage disclosure of over $1000 (from the 80's). Going to start locally for $6,500 since it is spring, but leaving room for negotiation. BTW forgot to add I put an MGW short throw shifter in it also. Paint is original and does have some scratches on the hood due to a stupid cat that I havent buffed back out yet. Too many projects.

I do have the old 10 hole rims as well if someone feels compelled to put it back stock looking.

I do like the yellow/gold ones as well, but hard to beat race red.

    Wew dang nice deal.
Although the newer ones are so different, this one is a winner in any garage.
Maybe putting the foot down (on the Boss's accel pedal) will change her mind?

The Boss took a hit. So did prior owners on the costs.
Car already has memories and hopefully many more ahead.

Am not a cat lover, especially the car scratchers. I hose them with water in a instant.
One tore up a 100.00 car cover using the car roof as a launching pad trying to kill roosting birds.
