Supposedly it had a cam put in and would think they put in a new timing set. I bought a new one but think I'll leave it alone.

Not sure. Certain years got factory double rollers.

Unless it's just the photo, that's one nasty wear groove on the fuel pump eccentric from the pump arm. "They" might have installed the fuel pump dry, with no obligatory good-practice initial grease on the arm and eccentric.

If you got one and the eccentric looks like that, who knows how or what they did to the rest of it when assembled. Cheap insurance, replace it!

This statement scares me but I understand this all too well. If this is Lynn's blue Capri, I would triple check everything as the PO before the PO also had my car. We all know what kinda work I was left with correcting.

    Dude..... That sucks!

As a guy that just keeps finding more stuff the PO screwed up on my sons 1986GT I feel for you guys. There is just no telling what stupid is and stupid does some days.

Thats one thing I can't complain about on my old worn out fox. Everything was either factory or done right when I got it 25 years ago and I've always continued that theme. I wish that type of experience upon everyone but it's not in the cards.

My sons car ended up burning up a fusible link for the fuel pump because the dumb ass didn't cut the new carpet and properly refasten the fuel pump relay. It did what loose wires do and found its way to somethibg it could short out on and left my kid sitting in one of the worst neighborhoods possible while he was on his way to work in downtown.

Then there's the muffler hangers he made for non application specific mufflers
Or the terrible job he did on the mid pipes
And the weld wheels he put on without any hub spacer to center them.
And the aftermarket tail lights that only their designer could love IMO
And the ****ty job he did on the new convertible top
    Blah blah blah

    good luck with yours.

This search is coming up with a 7/16 bolt. Mine is a 3/8 bolt. Wouldnt know the part number for the other would you? Most searches are coming up out of stock.
