    Default 1985 Marquis LTS (Canadian)

Thought there might be some out there who would enjoy this site, and more specifically, this ridiculously RARE fox Mercury.

I have never seen a Marquis LTS, but I like they did a few things different then the LTD LX. I also noticed the 4 cly was offered. I have seen several of the LTD and the regular Marguis in junk yards and have never seen a 4 cly engine, only the 6 cly.

Yes, a 4 cylinder Marquis would seem much less common than the 3.8. Here's one you can own: https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/5969690652.html

There also were 3.3L I6 engines in 1983 and 2.3L propane engines in 1983 and 1984, and the 3.8L V6 could be either carb or EFI in 1984.

I started gathering VIN lists but I didn't finish 1984 Atlanta.

The 3.8L V6 always outnumbers all other engines every year. The wagon was only available with 6-cyl engines. The 4-cyl engines were reserved for the sedans and their production numbers were small.

FYI: There were only 134 LTS produced, in 1985 only.

Canadian 3.8 V6s were carbed up to 1986 in the Marquis/LTD...well, at least all of the ones I have come across.

Awesome! Was just in NE Ohio visiting family earlier in the week. My sister lived for many years in Berea. How's your LTS looking today? What's the status of the car?

Looks terrible. Haven't done anything but stabilize it until I can start my resto. Big changes are coming for me here at work that will enable me to find the garage of my dreams (or at least a close facsimile ) so I guess, well, stay tuned!

I will stay tuned, for sure. Good luck with the work changes. You are closer than I, as I'm still "fox-less". Hope to remedy that this Spring / Summer.

Still in parts accumulation mode for the LTS, hope to start doing some serious wrenching soon. Found an amazing amount of NOS so far including the LTS-only grille, horn pad, and taillight lenses.
