I'm selling my '86 Mustang SVO Comp Prep. It's a 1C car, grey cloth interior, 123k miles, and since it's a Comp Prep, it has no radio, AC, or power locks or windows. It's 1 of 83 Comp Preps made in 1986, and that's before any color breakdowns. Very rare car. I actually owned the car from 2005 to 2009, then sold it to a guy in Utah. It popped up on Ebay in 2013 and I bought it back (from a different guy in Utah), but have not had the chance or desire to do much with it. All the performance mods are from when I owned it the first time with the exception of the Eibach springs.
When I bought the car initially, it had sat in a trucking yard for about five years so the paint was faded, and the hood and fender were scraped where a semi had backed into it (no structural damage, just minor sheet metal). I revived it with stock and performance parts from my just-totalled '92 2.3T LX and drove it for several years. I sold it with a good hood from a different SVO, and bought it back with a crappy aftermarket fiberglass SVO hood. I still had the original hood, but picked up a perfect hood, fender, and front and rear bumpers from a buddy and put them on the car, hence the early headlight setup. Those parts are orange and silver, but I plastidipped them black just so the car was one color. The dip is easy enough to remove for real paint. The front Konis are shot to hell but can be rebuilt by Koni. I have a perfect spare steering wheel. I also have the original front bumper cover in poor shape, with the original header panel and '86 lights, including a spare pair of inner markers. The one thing it needs is a good big VAM so it'll idle properly. It runs fine, just won't idle reliably at the moment. I've tested it with a known good VAM and that fixed it, so that's all it needs. If I can find one in the meantime, I'll just replace it.
I was going to do huge brakes and put it on the road course, but plans changed. I have a FTR front GT500 brake adapter kit and SN95 rear axles and brackets that are available as well.

The picture with the grey Cobra wheels are from when I owned it the first time. Even the crap paint looks kinda cool, although now that there are orange and silver parts on the car as well, paint would be a good idea. The black 19" Track Pack wheels were a test fit, and the 40 sidewall tires rubbed like hell, but they looked cool and you can get a good idea of how the bodywork looks.
Asking $4900 without spare parts.
