Default LMR TRX bigger tires/ pics

Anybody put any size on besides 225/55/16? I'm thinking about going 245/50 but am kinda undecided. Wasn't sure if the offset or anything might lead to additional rubbing.

Also I thought there was a thread just of pics of the new TRX's but can't seem to find it. So I'd take any pics available.

    Thanks.

That thread is in the General BS forum. 245s will look better but not handle any better with a 7 inch rim. I had a set of 245/50s on Pony wheels (same thing) and they had extremely mild rubbing up front. Stock ride height, stock suspension. They did look a little less like skates.

For narrow track 1979 to 1984's

Best width for 25.75" unloaded diameter 654 mm tall tires on LMR 16 x 7 j E35 rims.

    225/55 16's

I purchased with Sumitomo tires 225/55/16 (these tires are directional)
when attaching lugs you could rub paint with your socket from the inner portion of center cap if your not careful..

    Confirming what hommer302 says:-

For 245/50 16's, they JUST touch at 652 mm with E35, but if you do a liitle front gaurd work, and look at limiting turning circle, you might get away with it. They rub with E40 offset wheels, and E40's with a 1/4" (6.35") spacers, they don't RUB. So the crItical offset is E34.

A working check I used was to go for a greater offset rim, and see if its got space. I did that last year,

I checked this out with one other user of SVO 16 x 7 rims on stock Fox body, and he confirmed that with E40 5.65" offset that even 205/55 16's on SVO 16 X 7J rims without spacers rub a little on full gaurds on lock.

245/50x16s K18 Kumho's on a set of '86 Mustang SVO wheels defintely do hit the gaurds. The LMR rim takes the offset back in to E35, so your almost going to get it to work.

205/55 16, found the same thing as others, 632 mm or 24.875", slight chance of contact on really tight lock on an 81 with TRW rack. The SVO offset is E40.

That measn that with the LMR TRX with its E35 offsety, they won't rub at all with 205/55 16's, as wilsst confirms.

Factory recomended maximum static wheel height (unloaded) is 637 mm or 25.1"

Maximum width recomended was 220 mm, but you can go to 245 if you stay at 25.1"

Maximum height it can take without rub is 654 mm, or 25.75" unloaded diameter with 225's

On other Foxes after 1991, the front gaurd was cleared (radius changed) and on post 1985 GT's, rack limiter added to esnure no knock on lock. With these two mods, you can easily go to 654 mm, or 25.75" unloaded diameter with 225's.

The Fox plat form was designed aroun a maximum of 225/55 16 tires as per the 1986 LSC Continental, but they went up to 225/60 16's, a 677 mm or 26.65" tall tire by 1992..

If the angle of the light was the same, then any difference or similarity would be more apparent. The second photo hides this rather successfully.

I like it with the 205s, looks more factory than the 225s.

You went with the 205 all the way around?
