    Default Aux shaft and distributor

Hi yesterday the car sudendly died. After many attemps changing usual parts decided to take the dist cap off. No rotation, took it out and the gears where demolished, so as the aux shaft where kinda hurt in the process...
This is a 1979 carb turbo, and i want to pirchase the parts, just cant seem to find out if earlier pintos or older models like the svo and ranger use the same one.
    Thanks

I think they are all the same since they are all 2.3 Lima based engines. My 86 SVO ate the stock dizzy gear and aux shaft a few years ago, I replaced them with the set from Esslinger and I have not had any issues since.

So ended up getting a used aux shaft. For future refference the one with mechanical fuel pump lobe can come from any of the following applications:
    Aerostar 86-87
    Mustang 79-88
    Ranger 83-89
    Tempo 84-88
    Thunderbird 83-88
    Continental 84
    Mark 84
    Capri 80-86
    Cougar 84-86
    Marquiz 83-86
    Topaz 84-88
Then They started making the one without the fuel pump lobe.. which will work and fit but u would need to get an electrical fuel pump and regulator.
Yes they are most definitely discontinued, so dont even bother finding a new one. Unless u want to spend on the esslinger one shown by Unclesams_SVO post.
The distributor gear u can still find it in rockauto and some other sites with different materials for ur own preference.
