Default 83 Capri Crimson Cat, Whats it worth

Trying to scrape funds together to buy this CC, anyone have any idea what it is worth? The owner says it is rust free and a good driver. Interior is in good condition and needs a headliner.

I think you would be happy with that purchase. I am just giving opinions, but to me, that looks like a $5,000 car. It definitely shows signs of being cared for. The AC drier is new, water pump, belt tensioner and top hose are new and it has a coolant flushing kit installed in the heater hose. All stuff people who are caring for it would do. The seats are recovered. It looks like a very honest car. I don't mean to suggest it's not worth the $6,000 he is asking, but it is an '83 and just simply you can buy a nice '85-'86 for $6K and those should be more desirable due to the roller cam, 8.8 ( in 86) headers etc. So someone paying $6K for this would be shopping for THIS exact model.

Keep in mind its a Crimson Cat and only 1363 were produced. Much less with T-Tops. Should be worth more than an 85-86 RS IMHO.

Why does the build numbers keep going up? Cause I have one? LOL First heard 800 then 1000 now 1300. I paid 1500 for mine running but needed a lot of work.

I bought the car in June of '95. Unless something was done before then, the seats and covers are original.
