Super victor intake and cowl hood on a fairmont

So my builder wants to put a super Vic intake on my 408. I know it won't clear the factory hood. I'm wondering if anyone with a fairmont has used this intake and a cowl hood. I only have one choice for a hood and that the ho fiber trends. It's a 4 inch cowl. Anyone know if it will fit. I'm running stick height motor miunts and no k member spacers. Thanks

Oh it's a carb with super vic

Did some research. Now I'm thinking maybe keep the stock hood. Cut a hole in it and put a scoop over it. Any thought?
