Default 1984 Mercury Capri Turbo RS

I am putting up for sale my 1984 Mercury Capri RS turbo project.

I purchased this car I believe it was about three years ago when time was more available to me. About a year and a half ago, I started the disassembly process of the engine to then pull the short block and repaint the bay, along with pulling the nose and driver's fender off. Once the bay was cleaned in mineral spirits and thinners it looked a whole lot better.

I also proceeded to rebuild the front end with Koni's, new springs, new A-arms, and all 87-93 braking components. Around the same time I pulled the seats and dash hull, of which I've replaced the hull and also replaced the heater core.

The car is still in a state of disassembly, but with spring soon here, I will be working toward getting this together as a whole car. Before removing engine components it did run, and was supposedly a rebuilt engine. Odometer states appx 140K.

I will have pictures posted this evening, both of the state it was in upon my purchase along with pics of current state.

I am asking $1700 but am flexible to ensure to see the car gets saved and is not scrapped. The car is a good bones car with no rot issues and only a few little surface rust spots if any. This is a great project, that unfortunately I just don't have time for anymore.

I am in Ronkonkoma, NY, near the LIE. This car WILL need to be towed and it cannot be driven in it's current state.

The car can be held with a 50% deposit for one month. I have various other parts that can be made available to the buyer.

I just went through Ed's photos on Facebook last night. The car looks solid.

It would be a good amount of work {for the right person} to get up to par, but its definitely doable....

By the way, I have a soft spot for Ed's car. I was the keeper of a similar one a few years back. Here is what mine looked like when I sold it:

And what mine looked like when I first acquired it (similar resemblance)....

These links are not valid. I get Page Not Found. You have to be logged in to FB to view them, at least as they are posted above you do.
