Are the SVO specific parts that hard to find? I didn't realize that. I guess I'm lucky, my lens are in decent shape.

Some parts are very hard to find. Only a 3 year run on the SVO and specific parts are becoming difficult to find.

Having done quite a bit of work to two Mustangs recently, I'm totally amazed at how quick things total up when you get to the end!

For my SVO, I was lucky also that I found a pretty much intact car with 153,000km. I have replaced some of the SVO parts (some leather parts and upgraded the headlights) but otherwise nothing really. I have taken advantage of opportunities to buy some spare small things when I see them because "you just never know".

Luckily for me the car had a decent repaint in its past and it cleaned up well.

    Good luck with the restoration!

82GTforME, very nice SVO mine is a 9L as well and I like the car in white. My dad came down this weekend from NC, he didn't even know what an SVO was, even though he had owned a few fox bodies when I was a teen. So I took him for a ride in it and my dad had fits over the car. He said to him it was one of the smoothest looking Mustangs to look at and just loved all the SVO bits. Knowing that my father was excited about the car and even told me since the rarity was there, that eventually the car will get the respect is deserves in the market. He told me to redo the car regardless of the market because it was a cool car and to not worry about the money as having a rare Hertz car would payoff in the enjoyment of being one of the few to have a very low production car and to have a really nice one to boot. My car at the moment is not at the level yours is, but with a good paint and weather stripping it would be a real looker. Performance wise after all the feedback from the members on here and taking the car for a good spirited drive this weekend, I have decided to do a modest build on the motor, will likely go to the 300 to 350hp range, should still be very fun to drive and have enough HP for some spirited runs when the need for speed is required!

Almost have the headliner finished, run into some problems around the sunroof area, so I stopped and figured I would sleep on it and finish it tommorrow!Name: 16641012_1403731693013022_1362200498031230400_n.jpg

I've done several of those. Take the sunroof completely out, pull the seal, clean the area and wipe down with alcohol, spray the roof lip with 3 M adhesive, pull the material over the entire lip and ensure that it is smooth on the inside. Use spring clamps to hold the material in place, then reinstall the seal and trim off the access material. let dry and reinstall your sunroof glass. Hope this helps.

Thanks Mike, the trouble I am having is the amount of fabric I have to work with dosent appear to be enough to stretch over the lip. I am the 3M and the rest has been seamless so far.
