    Default Dots on LTD speedo -- what are they for?

    Anyone know why these series of dots are on the LTD speedometer?

    Only thing I could think of is that full-throttle upshifts occur at the speed between the dots ( excluding the first dash-dot combo between 5-15 mph )? Haven't tested this theory, and it may be a bit of a reach.......
