    Default Burl Wood Dashes

In 1990 I spent $300 on a Madrea Concepts real wood Dash.

Contacted them recently and they are not doing them anymore.
Has anyone used them or other custom dash treatments?
I have not seen another Fox with a burl wood, or am I the only
one who hates the LX "graph paper" dash?
If I had known the calendar could do insert photos I would have submitted them
last year when I entered the 86.

I know of a guy on FB that covered up his sweet ES dash trim with real wood...

Wow, $300. I did both my cars dashes, doors and radio panels for about $35.
This included the African mahogany wood + shipping $18, Stain $3, contact cement $10, and sandpaper $4.
I purchased the wood from Rockler.com. They have other types of wood at higher prices including burl wood.

Lots of FREE F/Z info on my site.

Added a real wood dash kit in my 70 VW beetle.
My 75 Super Beetle had a factory burl dash with the sharp quartz clock.
Rich classy look even if it was fake.
Was one of the reasons i bought that car.

Come to think of it my 86 Ranger XL had a factory plastic burl dash too.

Walnut, redwood, elm, and ash burl veneer sheets look interesting.
    The curl is the problem.
