So I've always wondered this, and i'm sure there's someone here who knows. Why do some base model, more fleet-oriented trucks get sealed beam headlights? I don't know if it's even true anymore, i haven't seen one from the last 5 years or so that has this except maybe the GM van chassis.

Why, dammit?! WHY?! And i don't believe it's to save cost. They have to design and build a whole different headlight/marker light assembly and maybe grille too!
