I think it's sad though that these cars will be more than likely after bought be stuck into another garage and not driven.

So what did they sell for? The 83 GLX convert with 8900 miles was obviously the least desirable.

Incredible. That low mileage 84 GT350 from last year (I forget what it sold for, I think it was $60-70K) may have indeed been the canary in the mine. I think these cars are further evidence of Fox bodies moving up the "collector car desirability" scale. Obviously super low mileage cars will bring the big bucks. Beyond that, we can all debate the sanity of these prices, or whether it was the BJ factor, or alcohol doing its job, but in any case these would have been tremendous sale prices.... at half the amounts.

WOW! I was expecting the SVO to sell in the low to mid $20's... $63,800 is insane!!! Makes what I paid for my 3600 mile example, last year, a "good buy".

Stay tuned gents...appears some funny business with these! There is talk on FB about video evidence of Richard Rawlings and Dennis himself bidding them all up. Shill bidding at BJ?!

Relax guys. B-J shills damn near every car that comes across the block and they have for years. Everyone knows they do it, and nobody cares. They're still a major driver of musclecar values, shill bidding or not.
When a car has 1000 miles or less it is basically a new car and will have no effect on the real world prices for the "common" used foxbody on the various car sales venues. Lets face it folks the prices being paid here are not a statement of common value. These are 30 year old new cars. I also wouldn't be surprised if there was a little funny business going on with the online bidding either. Until cash changes hands the cars are not sold.

Yep, it goes on at Mecum and B-J. You ever watch a Mecum auction and Frank is going back and forth to bidders, then before they can cut off the mic, you hear Frank telling the insider not to bid again. They got what they wanted for the car. Happens all of the time. That's the way the auction business rolls.
Insane prices paid on these. As several mentioned, these are 30 year old new cars so not what we all have in our garages. At least I don't.

I think I'll list my 84 on here for a bargain price of $10k.
If I had $82.5 to blow on a car I don't think I'd buy a 1990 7up auto.
This just in...Man walks on the Moon! J/K. Seriously though, that is how car auctions make money. That is how it works. I am surprised that people seem to think that is a new thing. 99% of the cars that have sold at BJ this week so far would have gone for less than $20K at any small regional auction. Saturday cars are a different story. It wouldn't make me spend any more then I wanted to on something regardless of shill bidders. It's like the people who blame the banks for loaning them money they could never pay back a few years back that destroyed the economy. It's someone else's fault I paid too much for this car...
I still like to watch though I am DESPISING the way they move them so fast this year so they can move more and make more $$$. They ruined it like everything else. Greed is the root...

Whatever happened, it's a complete joke. Not looking forward to ridiculous asking prices for a while however, the market will inevitably correct itself.
