Got a box in the mail from a fellow forum-ite. Thanks Mike! My interior is starting to look downright nice.
On a sad note I yanked the door apart to replace the window guides only to realize they're fine and it's the guide bushings that needs replacing.
I'm pretty sure no two bolts/screws in my interior are alike...
Almost got started repairing my dash pad but the weather was nice today so I took the boys for a cruise, came back home, and drank some beers while they played outside. Funny how that works.

I got the e-fan wired up in the pace car. Quickly determined that the relay that came with the kit was bad. Had the wife pick one up on the way home. It was bad too, although, I could get it to work occasionally by tapping on it. What's with all the cheap Chinese junk? The damn thing still cost nearly $8. Anyone know where I can get a decent one?

Default cold weather end to 2017

5° outside. Been frigid since Christmas.
    Car last driven Christmas Eve.
Decided to wake it up for 10 minutes.
Exide Classic battery 2 years old.
10w30 and very cold battery= slow sleepy crank. Not enough to start.

Forgot about the on-board vintage Exide 12v battery maintainer.
Reconnected it to battery. 1.5a for 1/2 hour warm up. Kill-a-watt tool said 120v 33w power consumption.
Normal crank and start. Carb has no choke assy. Needs to be pedaled to stay running upon cold starts.
Turned on seat heater, a nice addition.
Ran engine 1200 rpm for 10 minutes. Got water up to 150°.

So cold inside, needed to work the rear window defrost switch several times until relay stayed clicked on.

Had an engine block heater installed in the 80's. Car always started. Removed it during rebuild.
Need to get the new heater out of the box and install it one of these years.

    When reconnecting battery maintainer:
Noticed coolant seepage at heater hose metal pipe to water pump hose clamp.
The now warm coolant made the hose pliable enough to reset the clamp.
Need a longer section of hose and clamp further up the bend.
Pipe is old. Rust is starting right where the pipe comes out of the hose.
Hoses have been clamped in the same spot for almost 40 years.

I finished putting in my new Team Z upper control arms. Not just pull the tranny out one more time, tie up some wires, and finish installing the dash. Then get it on the road for the 1st time in a couple of years.

Started it up for the first time in almost 2.5 months. It started on the 3rd revolution of the motor, making me ecstatic with how much easier the EFI made starting after a long period.

Let her idle in the driveway for awhile, before coming to the realization I wanted to drive it. I crept ever so slowly, to avoid getting road salt on the car, and took a couple photos. Man I can't wait till spring gets here!

Mine has been cold, too...even with a kerosene heater running all day. I took the temp gun and pointed it around the garage in a few places. The floor was still in the low 30's and the door was in the 20's. Most of the work I needed to do was under the car. I was running my fuel return line and wiring in the pump and I could see my breath under the car last night. I have to push on, though. Gotta go back on the river in a few days and I want to get this pace car fired up!

I dropped the fuel tank off at my buddy's house just down the road. He's going to weld in the sump pan, and then I can install it in the pace car. One step closer to getting her running! I also picked up some plugs and wires. Everything is wired up and ready to go, I think. I also need to throw the drive shaft in, top the t5 off with fluid, and at least bolt in the h-pipe.

Did that last night to the SVO (stored outside under a car cover).

According to accu-liars, we were supposed to get 3-6" before the storm.

We ended up with close to 12"....

Not a four eye, but I just brought this home today. 88 Coupe. Factory non A/C, manual locks, manual windows, manual side mirrors. Even still has the factory radio still in it. Going to restore it stock and put a T5 in it. Nothing rarer than an unmodified 87-93 coupe. Something to play with while I'm overseas again.
