Iac seems to be stuck. While I was driving today the car suddenly started to speed up while I was creeping through a busy parking lot. When I parked it, idle shot up to about 2000rpm and stayed there. Now it constantly surges in gear.

Unplugged the iac and it dies. Bumped up the idle until it stays running, as soon as the iac is plugged back it idle shoots up to about 2000rpm or higher.

Bumped the idle so it wont die in gear and left the iac un plugged. Ill mess with it tomorrow. 12°f right now and windy. Lcd on my volt meter is frozen, doesnt update display.

I also had my eye on the mesh wheels. But did not have time to take the drive. They were cheap to.

As far as I have searched, that will need to be a one-off label. At a previous employment venture, I had access to a label maker and software that I could have made you a dang close replica. Too bad I don't have one here at my current job.

I drove it a little yesterday. It was stored away for the winter a couple weeks before Christmas, but I needed the lift so I could change oil on the wife's car so it came down for a while. It was nice just to hear it running again and real nice that it fired right up, since I haven't had it on a battery tender. It probably helps that I use the kill switch to completely isolate the battery from any possible drains.

And for those of you that are wondering........YES I will be cleaning and degreasing everything before it is put into action. Nothing worse than a shiny new part to compliment a grease ball motor.

Had no heat when I fired the car up. Found a leak, upper radiator hose had a slit and was badly swollen. Had an extra hose luckily. Swapped out and gonna warm up for a bit(18°f right now) then dump coolant in and hopefully drive it for work tonight.

Had a problem with my car at the track a few weeks ago. Launched off the line and the clutch would not disengage. Turns out the SPEC Stg III clutch disc welded itself to the flywheel. After getting no love from SPEC tech support and mulling my options for a few weeks. I gathered my finances and ordered a McLoud RXT dual disc clutch, upgrading my Tremec 3550 to TKO 600 specs, and installing some carbon fiber synchros in 2nd and 3rd gear.

I keep finding the weak link. I rebuilt the entire rear end over the summer and that's doing fine. Still sorting out the kinks.

The black marks on the flywheel are not gouges but deposits of the clutch disc material that effectively welded the disc to the flywheel. 4500rpm launches with slicks and around 550hp and 500ft/lbs of torque.

That SUCK! Sorry to hear SPEC was no help. I have a Stage 3 clutch from my old 98 Cobra I was planning on re-purposing in my 82 GT with the 5.4 DOHC. Now that makes me nervous!

Hey at least you were able to work on your Four Eye today! My garage was filled with the daughter's POS Isuzu Trooper that needed brakes on all 4 corners. Oh well, at least it's done now and out of the garage! Four Eyes Tomorrow!

I was able to work on wrapping my trim in vinyl Friday and Saturday. My trim is scratched and dented, and there's no good way to fix it, or get it re-chromed. I wanted a subtle black-ish look long-term anyway.

NEAT! Looks unique. Was it a giant PITA to do? I think it's a pretty cool idea.

I have considered doing the same for my Road Racer, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I have the vinyl, but I just don't know. I guess I have to think about it a bit longer.

    Looks good!

About a month ago I went out and got a 91 302 roller motor. I tore it down sent it out to get head and block check came back good. The heads are stock which is fine with me for the mean time. I cleaned everything up and started puting it back together. I have done the internals, the heads, and the e303 cam. Now I am been waiting for over a month for a one piece fuel pump eccentric so I can finish it. I am about to take off the factory fuel pump and put a holley pump in cause I can't wait. Oh and I bought some new Mufflers and going to buy some headers this weekend. Name: 20161217_213257_001_01.jpg

Tried making an original looking Motorcraft Battery today, thanks to http://myzephyrs.com/ I don't know his FEP username, I could not find the old thread. But I could not have done it without his downloads. Thanks to him! Not sure I got the top sticker going in the right direction. It's a rough draft...
Not that this current GT needs a oem looking battery, but wanted to give it a shot.

I finally had the chance to pick up some metal tubing to make my rear end bracket for my engine stand. This will make rebuilding my 8.8 for my 82 GT and any others much easier.

I still need to do some grinding of welds, and throw a coat or two of paint on it, but it works!
