Didn't have much time to work on the 82 GT today as I had to finish some repair work on my Super Duty for a trip next week. Did have a chance to start cutting up the SN95 pedal box to help modify my Fox pedal box in my GT with the Hydroboost setup. Hope to wrap that up tomorrow if I can get some time.

Thank you, errat50. Need to read instructions to see if I have to use plumbing tape or some type of sealer on threads to insure no vac leaks.

I would recommend it! No matter what the manufacturer says!

I was able to get started on my lower torque box reinforcements. They are bolted in, but I ran out of welding wire on the first plate. I'll have them done this week, then painted over before moving on the the upper pieces.

Figured since I was fixing one vacuum leak I'd go ahead a fix some potential future leaks the PO left me.

Took our '84 GT Turbo to the local Ford dealership for a state inspection. Then my wife & son and I took it for a cruise...1st time it has been on the road in 23 years. It felt just like the very first time I drove it 27 years ago. Happy I could still remember how to shift the gears.

I know the thread is getting a little old, but you can always do something to your car. Today, 2 coats of wax to get ready for a Mustang Show and Shine (rain permitting).Name: 1984 Mustang GT 023.jpg

Car died on me while delivering pizza a few days ago. Couldn't mess with it on the job. After work it fired right up and ran fine. Todays my day off, drove it for 4 or 5 hours straight with no issue. Ran codes and just got some emissions crap, but nothing that would kill it.

Gave up and noticed it was running crappy and decided to get stuff for a tune up. Drive 25 miles into the city to get parts and it dies on me. Luckily its only 104ºf right now. Sounds like fuel pump. Running codes gives me lean o2 both sides, which wasn't there this morning and the fuel pump is groaning a bit.

Milked it to an autoparts store, gonna try pulling the filter to see if its clogged. Got a new one in the trunk. If not, yay, time for a fuel pump.

Yup, fuel pump. 40psi for about 30 seconds then it drops down to 20psi. Longer the pump runs, the less pressure.

Took it to work and sprung a leak in the radiator. I haven't touched the cooling system yet so I guess I will now!

Had the car out for the 3rd time this year.
We've had 18 days in a row where we have had rain. When it wasn't raining, I was busy.
Now to make up for lost time...

Five fresh quarts of GTX 10-40 and a motorcraft filter. That front drain plug was a bitch to get at with what I'm assuming is an aftermarket sway bar in the way.

Nothing really pic worthy, just a bath and a new cover.
