Put the starter back in and the battery back in and ran it...to see if I had the coolant leak fixed...I did! ( I bought the car last Sunday.) Tracked the coolant leak down to a rusted out block heater. It was under the starter so that was the only way to get at it. So TODAY I put the starter back in...and yes the leak is fixed. Pretty good deal for $1700 us.
Well, I transferred the title to my 4eyeCobra from the original Arizona owner and title to a Texas title and into my name today! I am very happy about this fact. Now I can finally start putting some $$$$ into the 4eyeCobra.
Car died on me and wouldn't restart. Let it sit for about an hour and it fired right up. Map sensor vac hose is hissing pretty good and this car needs a tune up. Maybe get some power back out of it.

Finishing up some loose ends and getting to hear it run for the first time is sweet!

I just dropped the windows and took mine for a rip around town today. To the sandwich shop and back. But it did take me over 5 minutes less to go there and back than it usually does in my truck.
I might have had a heavy foot and may have taken corners faster than my stock 86 GT's former glory would ever dream of. And the brakes could have been plenty hot by the time I got home. Oh well.
No rev limiters were found and no tires were roasted, but all and all it was a blast. I might have to do it again Monday!
Foxes that turn, stop, and accelerate well beyond stock are so much fun! Another reminder of what so many of us love about our cars.
Removed original dash pad which had a dash cap on it. Going to install an oem pad I've had stored for 3 years.
Great thread on removing the pad on here. Thanks !

I got my upshift light working properly by finding the proper vacuum switches that go behind the driver's side strut tower. That part is almost impossible to find! Thermactor system is working better, it seems. Sometimes, it's the little things that make all the difference.
I've been daily driving the '85 for the past month due to the DD being at my friend's shop for a head swap.

Got my coolant overflow lid in the mail (from a fellow FEP member) and it fits like a glove. Do I need to attach it in any meaningful way? Seems like it's on there pretty good and I doubt it'd have room to shimmy off with the hood down...
