Went to have the A/C charged up. Compressor and relay are both bad. Ordered a new compressor, receiver/dryer and relay. I also spotted some wiring shenanigans near the relay. Another thing to sort out.
Black T-Top car in 94+ degree weather makes seats hostile to bare legs. I know now what a potato feels like in a microwave.
I hoped for the best but was prepared for the worst, it was budgeted.
On a good note: I finally tagged and insured this thing last week and have been driving it for nearly as long. The car does run quite well, so I am happy with that.

    .
I can sympathize with this. When I bought my first 82 t top, I lived in Phoenix. Every day was an adventure when it's 110° with a black interior t top!

The prior owner of mine had some leather t-top shades made that I can't imagine living without. Especially now that my a/c seems to be dying or dead.

I wonder if anyone ever made solid t-tops for foxes. Gotta think some fiberglass ones would be lighter/more durable.

Checked the 86 which I put on the top spot in the trailer after I pulled the 03 out and have been checking things over. Cinched it down, which was no fun for some reason, not to forget to mention the heat and humidity I was putting up with, anyway discovered the drivers side power window wouldn't respond to go up so I pounded on the door panel, (old tech trick), still nothing, went in the man cave to collect my thoughts because it's air conditioned, came back out and viola, it fixed itself
I've seen this before, that's a sign that at some point in the future it will need to be replaced or taken apart and have the commutator ring cleaned and the gears relubed. I guess after 31 years of ownership somethings are bound to happen. As cars get older they require more attention and preventative maintenance just like people.

Walked by it while I dropped off the shop vac I'll use to clean up the remaining mouse nest/turds that fell on the floor when I started the blower.

Car will be out tomorrow and getting cleaned up!

Spent a few hours in the garage today with the 82. Fog lights mounted and the lower air dam supporting components installed. That's a few more items crossed off the to do list.

I finally got off my butt and took the wrecked '92 shell notchback in for salvage. I loaded the 4-cylinder engine and trans, 7.5" rear end and miscellaneous parts in and drove it to the salvage yard. I put this same picture up on a Facebook group, and of course people lost their minds.

    Drove it to work today.
Remembered one reason why i bought it 37+ years ago to drive a Mustang again .

Memory of (AHRA) Motor City Dragway trophy night class win #2 on 7/25/71
Trophy still on the fireplace mantle with the other two from 1970 and 1972.
The neighborhood cruising gang we all went with our cars. No trailers. Mine was slowest of the group.
A Lime gold 67 Mustang verti stock 289/C4/2.79 gear, my first car. Formerly Ma's work car.
    Class K/A2
    Was a by run
Woulda got my doors blown off if a legit KA2 class car showed up.
That year a Holley 4bbl on a 2bbl manifold bumped me from M-automatic.
    Ran 1/4 mile low 17's.
A win is a win. Coulda redlighted...

Current Mustang, 79 turbo 2.3 Cobra, would have given the 67 a good run for the money if not the win.
Would race there again if track was still open.

Is there a good how-to on doing the door glass bracket retainers? Time to get my passenger window rolling up right...

    edit: Ah, this should do...hopefully.

Finally got the Capri running after a few months. It took me a few months cause of not having parts and running into little issues.

Too hot outside in the FL summer. I spent a few hours in the air conditioned garage polishing and waxing the 85.
