Default New Member Here with a 1980 Cobra

Hello all! Just wanted to introduce myself. I been into Mustangs for years and have owned a 1986 SVO in addition to several projects that never made it to completion. Today I took ownership of a 1980 Cobra and I am quite excited. The original drive train was replaced before I got it, but it currently has a 351W with an AOD transmission. I'll be checking the car out over the next few weeks to see what kinks need to be worked out, but I think it's a great car to start out with. I look forward to gleaning as much from this community as I can, and hopefully I'll have something to contribute as well.

Wow, that looks great. Any thought to putting the Cobra graphics back on it?

I am giving seriousthought to the graphics, after some mechanical things are squared away. However, I have not yet found a source for the correct Chamois colored side stripes and hood snake. Phoenix Graphics seems to be the only place that carries anything at all, and they don’t have the correct color online. I guess when the time comes I’ll call them up and see what they can do.

Welcome to FEP. Sweet looking Cobra. Love the color. I am with you as I do not like the 10 holes either. I had the cobra wheels on mine and looked good but I love my new fr500 wheels better. The 10 holes will be easy to sell.
