I inspected it today....it's nice, but not THAT nice....
Underside looks like a 60,000 mile car and has been undercoated.

Didn't expect to hear that, a 10,000 mile car should look new underneath,so my new price is $15,000

Which day is this going across the block?
$15K sounds good but I have my doubts that it goes that high. Mecum auctions seem a little more realistic than Barrett Jackson auctions. Different clientele I guess. I bet it goes for closer to $10K.

I'm with you on that! I'm thinking $10K...and I may be a bidder. It goes across the block on Tuesday.
I looked at it on Tuesday, for a 10,000 mile car it is rough. Interior is mint, but it was not stored properly
or was stored in a barn or something?? Just not sure on this one...

I was thinking $15k until I read this, around $10k is more realistic, unless.... there are two bidders that just have to have it.

It's definitely not what you would expect for a car with 10,000 miles....

Yea, mileage is only part of the story. I've seen cars with 110,000 miles that look better than some with 10,000. It's all about care and storage. Most auctions I've attended have some cars that are pretty and shiny on the top but very rough under the hood and underneath. This car sound like on of those.

I'm sure based on your signature you know what low mileage cars should look like.

    You are soooo correct!
Here is a pic of a clean underside....this car has 110,000 miles on it.

Kinda looks like the driver seat has a bit of a "gangster lean" / broken seat frame issues.
Just doesn't seem to line up right, and the seat foam seems to be bulging out over the recline lever too much.

And what do they mean by original tires ? The ones installed 35 years ago; or new ones just like 'em ?

    Bid to 13,500...reserve not met

It's nice looking sure, but what's the appeal ? An 83 T-Tops isn't really rare or desirable in any particular way. Detailing a car doesn't make it worth 14 grand.

Black on black with 10K miles. I actually love the 83s and the hood scoop. Only negative is no fog lights. Bucket list car for me...I would pay 14K if it was closer

I was all set to bid on it but it went higher than I felt the car is worth.
It's in the "bid goes on" area and I may shoot an offer on it tomorrow
after I give it another look. If the car was cleaner underside, I would bid higher...
