Nicely done! Any more pics? Don't see too many new wheel selections too often even in 5 lug. Choice is usually Draglites or Cobra's. Gets old!

I have 17×9 FR-500 rims with 245-45-27 tites and they rub it the rear over big bumps. Yours looks close in the rear but you might get lucky with no rubbing. Car looks beautiful..............Hope it all works out.

I did an 01 IRS swap in my 91 notch back.
One of the best improvements I have made to the handling.
The other improvement was the Cobra K member with full suspension and the 32 valve .

If them quaters are rolled then you are good. I was so sick of the rubbing I bought some 17×7 chrome rims. Ill try to post some pics...........my phone sucks!

My fender lips are rolled, and I get the smallest amount of scrubbing aggressive corner carving.

front are 17x8 with 245/45/17 and rears are 17x8 with 275 40 17.
I have not found a wheel I like in 17" yet , so I am running the stock 01 Cobra wheels .
I do not remember the back spacing on those ,but all of the 99-04 wheels I think we're the same .

Interesting choice on sizes. Just wondering why you chose to stagger the wheel diameters with 17 and 18s.
I'm looking at wheels and other options right now to sort out the clearance issues I have on my fronts. I have 17x9s 95 cobra R style wheels all round with 255/40 Nitto NT-01s The fronts are really tight with the coil overs on the back side and look like they may rub on the tops of the fenders at the outside. The rears have plenty of room. I've been trying to find some 17x8 or 8.5s to run up front, but there seem to be few choices. What I have found that I like so far are Enkei Kojin or T6S wheels. They are available in the sizes and colour I want, but I would need hub centric rings with them as the center bore is 72.6mm. My other option I will look at is flaring the front fenders a bit to gain some clearance plus going down a size on the front tires.
I did it for a couple reasons;
1. It is out of the normal. I did not want something on my car that you see on just about every other Mustang.
2. I like the look of 18's in the rear but in my opinion they are too big for the front, 17's look good in the front but do not fill the rear wheel well as much as 18's
3. Some performance cars use different sized wheels on the front and rear so maybe there is something to be gained.
4. Using the different sized also help make the car look like it is motion when it is parked by giving it a stance that is a little out of the ordinary.
5. Why not, you never know what you will like unless to try it.
Tire clearance is another reason why I went with the 245 series tire (that had I removed the power steering). Wheel offsets can make or brake you on the foxbody, I see a lot of cars where the tire is almost past the fender making it look like an "old roller skate" to me. Finding the balance of having the wheel and tire flush with the fender but still tucking into the wheel well is not always easy, especially when there are not may companies that make wheels for a foxbody....instead making them mainly for 94-04 Mustang which are wider cars with the same Fox chassis.

I'm about 99% decided on new wheels to correct the same issues you are seeing with clearance up from using MM coil overs. I did look at possibly just having the wheels I have narrowed to fit, but in the end, I think I'll just sell them and go with the Enkei Kojins instead. Like your choice, they are something a bit different and the fit will be better. I'll stick with 17s all round but stagger the width the same with 8" up front and 9" in the rear. I will also keep the current 255/40 tires on the rear, the new wheels will sit just slightly further out. I will reuse the 1/2" spacers in the back, but won't need any up front. I am thinking 235/40s up front will give me much better clearance and be the same rolling diameter as the rears. This set means I can use the four tires I have for rears and only need to buy the fronts.
Has a serious mean look to it. Post up some pics when it's on the ground.
It will cost you , but there are manufactures , that will build the offset and back spacing , as well as diameter and width , but it will cost you.
End result is a design that you like , that fits like no other .
Just the way you like it .
I just don't need to spend that kind of money on something I drive .
Nor do I have the loot for it either , when other mods I would like to do .

That is the one nice thing about a 5 lug swap. There are some many cars other then Mustangs that have a 5x114.3 bolt pattern and they all have different offsets. So chances are if you look hard enough you can probably find the wheel that works perfectly for you car without have to go to a custom size.
The wheels I got were just as cheap as "knock-off" Mustang wheels and had offsets that I was looking for.

That's basically how I settled on the Kojin wheels. I just searched until I found ones that had the widths and offsets I wanted in a style I liked.
Just wondering what spindles you are running up front. Mine are from a 2000 Mustang so I have the wider track width up front

I have looked at all the different 5x4.5 and metric equivalent, still have only found one wheel I like , but it is on back order .
Your car looks great either way.
When I did 5 lug swap in my 84, I used 95 spindles and 01 Cobra control arms .
This gave me almost no bumpsteer , but I have added a bumpsteer kit to fine tune .
My notch has the 32 valve , with complete 01 Cobra k member and components .

My car now has a MM k-member so I had to swap out the 95 spindles for 99-04 spindles.

Car looks great! I had a real time of it trying to find my wheels recently too with the 96-04 front spindles so I know exactly what you're talking about. This forum was very helpful though.
Just an FYI, the 96-04 spindles are all the same for both the V6 and V8 cars.
There was a brake change for the 99-04 GT V8 cars.
The 99-04 front lower control arms also have a different shape than the 96-98 control arms that allows more tire clearance when turned lock to lock.
