Thread: Hood decal

    Default Hood decal

Looking for a little help with the colors on my hood and door cobra decals. Found a guy willing to take a shot at reproducing them. I don't see where they are available. I took him my hood for scaling, but the colors are no good.

Phoenix graphics comes to mind as being a company that reproduces the decals for our fox body cars of all trim packages .

I had checked with them once before, and they had been discontinued. Also had heard a not so nice review of a cobra hood decal that was received. But as of 230 today I talked to them and they do in fact make them. He also told me that they had istopped producing them for a while

Was also thinking of alternative colors other than oem colors.
More toned down to attract less attention, but retain the design. Blue version is ok.
I get more looks now with the worn out orange/red/black than when it was fresh.
So harsh when fresh, one quick look was enough to 'burn' eyes, never seeing the Cobra in the design.
Like staring at the Recaro op-art seat pattern, or Chrysler's SHAKER sticker.
Maybe i will just paste the loud hood decal on magnetic sign material to display at shows only.

Or attempt to airbrush an overlay of new colors.
