    Default Boss 302

Anybody know if anybody makes headers for a BOSS 302 in a fox? Prefer something with a flat collector.

Couldn't you use a cleveland style header for this? Like these?

The issue with using Cleveland headers will be down to the difference in deck heights. At 9.2", a 351C block
is not as tall as a 351W, but it's still a full inch taller than a 302. 351C headers on a Boss 302 will hang down
lower, and there may be other fitment issues because of the difference in engine width.

I believe 7993mustang was thinking of the Hedman Husler 85605s.

ohh what a special what if fun combo that could be
    4e fox Mustang/Capri + solid lifter Boss 302
    the model that never was.
Cobra, GT, Shelby, etc models not the same.
less cost than finding an oe genuine boss powered Mustang.
Who cares its not the most powerful engine made.
It has a real engine personality. Hall of fame.

Except the dual points. They would go. Dist would stay.

    reverse retro?
instead of old car/late drive train
later chassis/trans/real deal simple muscle era engine power, sound, and looks.

Wonder how they would have done body graphics?

A real stock boss 302 engine install makes most any Ford top shelf cool by itself.
The 351 version kind of is more fitting in a larger chassis.

Now where is that old Hurst T-Handle i had? Good looks and uncomfortable.

I remember more than one 8.2/Cleveland-headed Fox running around back in the day before all the aftermarket heads got common.

This sounds like a cool project. These headers apparently do have flat collectors. I remember the 80's Hedman long tubes on my 79 Capri did not have flat collectors and on more than one occasion I hit a dip in the road at speed and bent a couple of the primary tubes and had to have them repaired.

Have you driven the car yet? I have a family friend with a 82GT that has a Boss drivetrain in it and is for sale. I'd like to get it if I can this summer.
