Goodie !! you got a good car to restore. Welcome to FEP. Have the seats been redone, or are they orginal ?? are they done in leather ?? Keep us posted as you make progress please, and keep posting the pics. Also check out the "restoration" thread, and the stickies..

I likey alot!! Man that thing is an awesome car to restore. The seats look exactly like the pictures from the 1979 sales brochure. Great job.
Welcome! Looks like you have a nice project on your hands. Make sure you keep us updated TL
Nice car. What motor do you have? I have one with the turbo 4.
I have the 302 V8. Thinking of pulling it and dropping in a crate engine due to my lack of knowledge on rebuilding engines.
Nice car to restore! Mine was Red/Black with the Yellow graphics too. Your interior looks great. I have yet to see a Tan interior in person. Anymore pic's?

Nice to have so many people thinking it is a good project car. My wife almost gave up on it and was going to sell it. I am glad I talked her in to keeping it. I have a few more pictures but they are all of the seats because we just got them back from a local shop and he did a really good job. He was shocked by the color too. I am hoping to continue taking pics as we continue to work on it. I love all the restoration stuff on this site.
Post some more please!
I dig the interior. I did not realize the Cobra package could be equipped with the Low-Back Leather.

Here are more pictures for the adoring fans. All we have done is interior stuff. The seats were done at a local shop and he said it was the original color and gain. I am pretty sure it is vinyl. You can tell from the pics the outside needs a lot of TLC.
Looks excellent! My original steering wheel looked exactly like your's except that it was Black with a fake woodgrain insert in the ring. Mine did not have a Cobra emblem in the middle insert either. My seats are the same as your's and have the original vinyl material on them but my headrests are different. They don't have the stitching on the front that goes over the top and onto the back (the side pieces don't wrap around.) Mine have separate side pieces that are on the sides only and have the vinyl piping that surrounds them on each end of the headrest. I hope that made sense!

Finally back at it. Actually drive-able right now but still stuff to do. Cleaned up some wiring today after replacing BMW temp sensor for fans.
Glad to see you still have the car and are working on it!
