Default 98 F150 door chime wont stop

last Autumn before it got cold I pulled the dash and replaced my heater core in my 98 F150.

I got heat but an unpleasant side effect to the operation is that ever since my door chime don't stop until the door is closed. Its supposed to stop when the key is removed. Any suggestions to remedy this?

Also my dome light doesn't come on when the door is opened anymore since the dash was out. If I flip the switch on the dome the light comes on, but door open the light doesn't come on.

Any suggestions on these two issues?

The door switch is either broken or unhooked. It's pretty common for them to get stuck, but since you had your dash apart, I'd lean towards the wiring being unhooked.
