Awesome car man...nice find! I'm always amazed with the juxtaposition of technology between the GT power plants in the same model year. Yestertech-non computer 4bbl 302, and fuel injected computerized 2.3 turbo. What other car had that kind of contrast back then?

Congrats, I'm really happy you found one that you wanted for long time. I know that Turbo GT are fun to drive because I had one before, it had some mods too. Easy to drive and safe fast car too. A few days ago I saw an 84 Turbo GT for sale near me, I'm very tempted to check it out, but it is a black car. I would like to find one in a different color other than black. Your new ride looks awesome!

I'm not sure any other make or model has that kind of contrast in the early 80's, we have a similar contrast now with the Ecoboost and Coyote available in the Mustangs.

Thanks Dan, I seen the ad for that Black one,it appeared complete. A Bright Copper GT Turbo would be a nice find.

Beautiful car Joe! So glad you were finally able to track it down and add it to your stable. Must be a good feeling to finally have it.

You're not a man unless you put some 1500 sandpaper on it! Then we know you are serious about bringing back the shine. It's single stage and should respond nicely.

    J/K....looks good!

I used Meguiar's Ultimate Compound on mine. It got the paint on the bumpers to look good...even the black trim. I did mine by hand too, which is really tough work. Your results look terrific...silver single stage paint can be a real bigger to bring back .

Did some mods over the past couple weeks and got some more seat time in, definitely a fun car to round around town in.

Over the winter I'll order up a Accufab FPR and get rid of that ugly Holley and figure out which strut tower brace to use.
