    Default 1986 headlights conversion

Hi guys! itīs been a while... my svo itīs been sitting since last july for several reasons,
    1.- Turbo seals
    2.- tires are worn
    3.- headlights

although my headlights are still clear, the inside chrome has gone, so you can barely see at night... is it a led or proyector conversion for the 9004 bulbs?
    is it worth it?

nice to say hello again to y`all
    regards from Mexico

If your headlights are still clear than you are in better shape than most of us!

You can disassemble the headlights to gain access to the inside to refinish the silver/chrome as one option to improve the lighting. Due to age, many of the head light lenses will almost pop off as the adhesives have dried out. Other times you can put them in an oven at 150-200 degrees for a few minutes and that will soften the adhesive enough to remove the lens.

I know there are options out there for converting the 9004 Halogens over, just not sure any of the projector or "HID" are that much better.

Here is an LED option from a respectable company that might help: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...t-in-fan/2116/

    Good Luck!

The problem with hid is they generate heat inside the lens like a normal bulb. The leds don't they generate their heat on the back side hence the fans. The up side to leds is I don't believe they will burn the headlight lens from the inside out like everything else. They also use 1/2 the power of the normal bulbs. When I put my 86 lights on the svo I plan on running the leds.

I'd be curious how well it would work in a normal 4 eye setup.
