Default You never remember what you have.....

-I was out in my garage/storage bldg, looking for some early Lightning(93-95) brochures and tech sheets I knew I had somewhere. Scounging and searching for an item, you never know what you may find. Especially if you haven't looked thru it in years.......lolName: 0618161835a.jpg

And check out how she's driving the car on a dirt road! Now that's old school!

I was shocked by seeing some old TV commercials from the 1960s, for new cars like Mustangs and Camaros and GTOs, showing them being driven 'off road,' or at least on unpaved roads.

The turbo Pace Car I'm rebuilding seems to have spent it's life on a farm. The whole underside was covered in a coating of clay from driving on dirt roads (which also caused it to rust). When I pulled the interior, I found hay and straw in the rear floor wells. I had to chuckle. Yeah, you could probably fit 2 or 3 bails in the back of a Pace Car with the seat folded down!

I do have one of those old Ford/Sony laser disc player with cabinet in the basement. It still worked about two years ago.

Our attic is like that. We moved in here in 1979 and there's boxes up there that were moved from our previous house that I haven't look into for close to 40 years. I know there's a box full of car mags from my high school days (class of '69) up there somewhere. I really ought to dig them out someday, but it seems like a lot of work. The ads alone would be interesting. Unless my memory fails me (and that's very possible), you could buy a brand new Road Runner for $2999. Beep beep.
