1985 GS Capri 5.0L 5spd does exist

I would like some info. about production stats for my 1985 Capri GS 5.0L 5spd..... When I got it in 1988 with 10k miles... It had blackout lenses, Marshall fog lamps, Holly/motorcraft carburetor, Grey sport seats with red trim, Bigger spoiler and Louvers..... It has all the ASC package but I did not find D32 on the tag.... The Vin. shows it left Dearborn for final assembly.... The Vin # 1mebp79m7ff614793 ........... any help is appreciated.... ascMcLaren Capris do not have a "D32" on their buck tag. Most ascMcLaren Capris have a VIN starting with 1ME.

Thank you.... Mine did not have the normal ASC colors.... body color (silver) trim (gray) Interior gray sports seats with red trim.... It is also A GS 5.0L H.O. with a 5 spd which there is some confusion about, The stats I have seen show the GS did not get the 5.0L H.O. Or a 5spd... Is this a car I need to keep stock ??.... It is still a numbers matching car.... 06/85 production date....Thanks again for any assistance...

Many a 1985 with a 5.0L and T-5 have been claimed to be a GS when in fact they are actually an RS. I asked to see door tag and buck tag to verify some codes on them.

I have a real one. It has springtime special interior as wells d is a factory radio delete car. I'm in Canada and the GS was availible up here with the 5.0 5 speed. It's got all its chrome trim and standard nose intact. Hatch was replaced with an 86 unit before I bought it.
