    Long Beach, CA

1982 Ford Mustang GT 5.0, Saleen inspired, V8, 306 ci engine, 375 horsepower, remanufactured 5 speed T5 transmission, fully customized and built car, 100's of hours invested into this car, car was completely stripped down to a shell and built back up, painted with sealer, Acura championship white 2 stage paint , then 3 coats of Matrix autoglass clearcoat, doors, fenders and 1/4's were block sanded, then after 1 week, the car was color sanded and buffed with all 3m materials. Nothing on this car is off an 82 gt other than the front nose and body moldings. This car has a fully balanced and blueprinted 306 motor(less than 1,000 miles on this motor with forged TRW 10:1 pistons, Edelbrock aluminum heads that are fully polished with aluminum roller rockers, Motorsport B303 camshaft, Edelbrock upper and lower intake that has been fully powdercoated for that show car look, Ford Racing 24lb injectors, Vortech 76mm mass air flow sensor, 70mm bbk throttle body, brand new stage 3 Valeo clutch good for up to 500hp, Has Shorty headers with off road h pipe, Magnaflow stainless mufflers with custom 2 1/2" polished tailpipes. Suspension has upper and lower boxed control arms with polyurethane bushings for that solid feel, Koni front struts and shocks, camber caster plates, Maximum motorsports strut tower brace and progressive rate lowering springs, fully built 8.8 rearend with Auburn 31 spline Pro posi with 3.55 gears and 31 spline moser axles, rearend is good for up to 800hp, 4 wheel disc brakes for much more enhanced stopping power. Included Saleen 17" Speedline wheels with low profile tires. Interior has been upgraded with 1991 Ford Mustang black dashboard and instrument cluster, 1991 black tweed cloth interior, plastic inside panels, headliner, etc.., 1/4 windows have been upgraded and redone as well, in addition to the car, it has original Saleen chevron stickers on the fenders as well. This car has a current Ca smog with current Ca registration and clean Ca title. This vehicle was built to model a black 82 GT that I saw online that I was obsessed over several years back that was turned into a Saleen 82 look car. I will include a picture of the car that I built this car similar to. I have invested alot of time and money into this car. I have decided to offer it to someone who will appreciate it the way that I have because frankly I just dont have the space to keep it anymore. THIS IS A ONE OFF CAR. IM SURE THIS IS THE ONLY 1982 FORD MUSTANG GT 5.0 IN THE COUNTRY THAT HAS BEEN BUILT LIKE THIS THAT IS FOR SALE. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LOOK/ VERIFY IF YOU FIND ANYTHING SIMILAR. For any more additional pictures, please text me. I have many more that I can send you but on this website, I am limited to only 5 pics. I have pictures of this car as a shell with nothing in it. The craigslist post was flagged and removed.
1984 Mustang GT owned since 1991 (first car). Mercury Mountaineer GT-40P engine, some suspension mods, currently undergoing a five lug SN95 brake upgrade and more suspension mods. Some minor body and interior mods have been done as well.

hmmm. Well I guess we shall see if it shows back up. It was pretty well done. EFI late model under the hood, black aero interior including dash (and airbag wheel) and rear hatch plastic and the outside looked pretty much exactly like what a 1982 Saleen "would" have looked like I have to say.
It had ALL correct body side moldings that match the '82 bumpers too. Didn't look like a hack job to me based on pictures. You know the ones that have black spray bomb under the hood trying to cover up the factory red etc. It looked okay to me. His price was a dream and there is no way it had 375HP but that has nothing to do with the car looking nice.
After further review, I now read where he says "I will include a picture of the car that I built this car similar to" so maybe the pictures are not of the car he is selling, but rather the one he liked online.

I tried to find if it was relisted and I found this one. He says it has the best interior of any 1982 Mustang out there but you have to take his word for it. There are no pictures of it. It also appears he was waiting for the sun to go all the way down before taking the few he did.

Hi, I personally was involved with and built this car. It does have 375 flywheel horsepower with the compression aluminum heads, intake and exhaust it makes in the low threes to the wheels. I made 315 to the wheels with a ported GT 40 cast iron headed motor with less compression so this motor definitely makes more than that that's why when I said 375 I'm meaning it at the flywheel. The car runs super strong and drives awesome. I built this car not to sell it I built it to keep it. It took many months to do this car and quite frankly as cool as it is, I would not do it again. The reason why my ad is off craigslist is because people keep flagging it.

I bet if you remove "Saleen" from the title it would fly. Some people get wound up about that. Good luck, and post some pics here on our site (it's required)

No offence but you could have a real Saleen in great shape for your asking price. This is the problem with clone and tribute cars. People that want an 82 Mustang want it Factory and people that want a Saleen want the real deal. Unfortunately you never get out of them what you put into them. That is why when you dump money into one of these cars it either has to be an extremely rare and desirable model or a car you are planning on keeping.

Default None taken, its all a matter of perspective

None taken it's all a matter of perspective at the end of the day this is your opinion. I respect everybody's opinion that doesn't make it the truth. It doesn't mean that there's somebody out there that's not interested in a nice car like this.
