1979 inner rocker and door hinge pillar

Hello,

I am doing a restoration on my 1979 Mercury Capri. There is a bit of rust issues on the inner passenger rocker panel and the lower door hinge pillar. I have looked for new patch panels but have been unsuccessful. NPD has an inner rocker listed but it is specifically for 87-93 fox-bodies. I was always under the impression that 1979-1993 structurally were the same but it appears there are changes on the 1987-1993, but I am not sure what the changes were.

I have also considered purchasing a shell locally and cutting out what I need, but again the ones in good condition tend to be 1987-1993.

Ok, not exactly sure what I'm looking at in those pics. In the second one I think I see the inner rocker is crusty? Is that a piece of angle iron screwed to the inner rocker? I'm not seeing the lower door hinge area?

The car I have is rust free in the floors and rockers. I could cut whatever you need including the pieces you need for your floor patches.

here is lower door hinge pillar rust. yes that is angle iron - i want to remove that and patch inner rocker rot. Isn't it expensive to ship parts that size from NC to me?

ok - I will probably need section between the floor pan and outer rocker on the passenger side (I think it is referred to as the inner rocker but I am not certain naming convention). I also need the last picture of the lower door hinge pillar. I have to check the drivers side but I beleive it is in much better condition than the passenger. How much would you want to sell me those sections? would you be interested in selling the hole car so I can cut out what I need?
