Thanks!
Yes just enough for the steel to fit.
Looks good! Did you put in finger tip grooves on the back side for extra grip?
Have you considered wood laminate gauge and dash panels to match?
I think you could really add some elegance by doing that!
Yes, this actually matches fairly close now with my stock panels. I dont know if you seen my previous post here on the last page (post #40) but I can make inlays for our dashes.....

I can make some with real or fake wood, metals, and metals with patterns. Really endless options.....which is part of my problem....what do I really want!
That looks great, fine work you did there. I understand why you didn't do the finger grooves. As awesome as it would be, my OCD would hit overdrive if they weren't perfect. A matching dash panel would look sweet!

I finally have this steering wheel in my car and with tilt too!

Looks Sweet! Congrats!![]()

That looks very nice! Kudos on the finished product.
i have a similar wheel on my 1980 Mark Twain boat, although nowhere near as nice anymore.
Thank you. I bet yours could be repaired or refinished.
I know I'm late to the party, but I have to say, that's beautiful!
Wow that really 'works' with your interior. Looks like it belongs there from the factory. Killer craftsmanship.
Very Impressive!

I'm at it again. This one is getting a Walnut wood grip and the spokes get the brushed look.

What do you charge to do this? My zephyr has the "Burlwood" finish so I'd want it to match that as closely as we could. I have a tilt column from an '83 ready to go in as well.
Also, My center cap is broken, do you have any spares you've picked up over the years? If so, I'd love to buy one off you to replace my broken one. The whole back part where the spring-clip snaps in is cracked and will fall apart if I remove it from the wheel.
