    Default 37th IMM Calgary, AB Sept.2-5, 2016

I thought I would share with everyone.

The Alberta Mustang Auto Club (AMAC: http://www.abmustang.com/index.html) is hosting this show this year. This is the first time in twelve years it has been in Calgary. I have been a member of the club for the last three years but I am not a part of the organizing committee.

There are many other clubs that participate in this show plus many independent cars coming for the show from all over Western Canada and the NW U.S.

My son and I each have a car registered (one of our first 'real' shows). One will be in the 1979-1993 Stock class and one will be in the 1984-1986 SVO class Maybe I will see and meet some of you there! The Canadian dollar is cheap right now for any Americans coming up!

See the attached PDF's for classes and furthur details

"The Alberta Mustangs Auto Club would love to “WELCOME” you to Calgary in September 2016! Our committee is already hard at work to make sure the 37th IMM is a great show.
This premier event runs through the Labour day weekend, from Friday September 2nd through to Sunday September 4th. A $45 car registration fee grants you access to the Friday night meet & greet social (keg party!) – this is a great chance to meet other Mustangers from across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest of the USA. Your registration fee also gets you a spot in the IMM37 Show & Shine on Saturday. We have over 65 car classes, and there will be awards distributed in each class. Please fill out the editable registration form electronically or print a blank version and submit it with your payment to IMM37.

We are pleased to announce that our Host Hotel & Show Site is the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino.

On Saturday night we will be hosting the BBQ at the beautiful Lynnwood Ranch, a very picturesque venue in rural Alberta. Cost for this event is only $22 per person.

Sunday we will be hosting cruises to various locations around Calgary, stay tuned for details. Sunday night it all wraps up with our Dinner & Awards Banquet, this will be held at the Grey Eagle Event Centre. Cost for the banquet is $45 per person and $15 for children 12 and under.
BBQ and banquet tickets are only available through the registration process."

Here are some pictures of the four eyes from the IMM show on Saturday. I believe they were just shy of 500 cars total for the day.

Two four eye's in the 79-93 Stock group:

One in the 79-93 convertible modified group:

One in the 79-93 stock group (original owner IIRC):

    Three in the 79-93 modified:

Not sure what to think of this ('cuz I threw up a little). Can you guess by the interior what it was? Apparently a local car which was done in the 90's (which I've never seen before around)

Not sure about this one; it was in the "specailty car" class way over on the other side. Can anyone shed some light on it? I've never seen this before.

    One lonely Capri:

    SVO's (including my 9L).

The other was a local car I had seen pictures of a couple of months ago from another little show.

It is an 85.5, originally a US car imported to Canada.

I spotted this one parked in the spectator area. I think this one is currently for sale locally on Kijiji.

And a couple of my favorites.

This is a Mercury Comet Cyclone. Fully documented with a dealer installed 427! This was NICE!

Best of show was this Boss 429. Calypso Coral with white interior and from what they spoke about in the banquet was concours correct (and a rare combination).

Yesterday I went on a cruise to the foothills of the Rockies. The weather didn't start out the greatest but there were 48 cars that came on this one including two Mach 1's and three 60's coupes. They had four different cruises and tours scheduled to different locales.
