Bought my first 4 eye at 19, a very rough 86 gt that I paid 1200 for. Some bolt ons, 3.73 gears, new clutch, flowmaster exhaust. Rebuilt entire front end with later brakes. Ended up trading it for an 84 LTD LX that was rust free and completely stock. Miss that mustang everyday. But have big plans for the Ltd

What color was your Capri? Oh geez. This is an old thread. Some of us may need to update our age!

It is interesting to see that about 71% fall into the 36 to 55 range as this makes a lot of sense. The four eyes are what we all grew up with. It is the best years for the mustang.....of course I am biased here but I am sure many of you will agree

    Let's keep this poll going!

Got my first four eye at around 22. An '81 Capri with a 302. Then came the '81 Mustang (2.3), then an '83 (6 cyl), then the '83 I built up (when I was super active member here in the 90's). Now I have another '81, but not a Mustang this time. Of all the years '81 was not special to me. Just the way it has worked out.

I will be 50 this next January. And eligible to retire!

Im 36 now, been in the mustang world for about 13-14 years 1st car was an 82 capri then onto an 89 vert. Then 85 gt then 89gt. Sadly sold them then i started taking a different route and collecting cars, in a different way. Im up to 15 mustangs 79-86 and will be working to restore them for years to come. Ive bought and sold 3 others to some fellow members on this site. Its been interesting and love the hobby more and more everyday.

I still have them all. Though the '84 was totalled and with the insurance money I purchased the '86.
It is repairable, and I hope to get around to it someday.

I'll be 51 next year. My first 4 eye was an 84 T-bird 5.0, then an 86 GT, now an 84 RS Turbo. Had the GT 9 years (95-04), RST since 99. The T-bird 88-89. I had an 89 LX mixed in there too.

I’m 17, I love my Capri to death, started working on the car sometime around August 2016, my grandpa gave it to me as my grandma was the first owner, paid around $10,000 at the time, still have the paperwork when it was bought, i will never get rid of it. Plan to restore in the upcoming years, hopefully it doesn’t fall apart by then.

Now I'm 72 since the pole started. Knees can still handle the pedals and the right foot has no problem pushing the loud pedal. Car gets lots of looks when it's out and offers to sell, not yet though, I'm going for 80 now. Later dudes.

Bought my first Fox Mustang when I was 22. Brand new off the dealer showroom. It was a silver coupe with a red interior and radio delete, 4cylinder, 4 speed. Since then I have owned a slew of Fox Mustangs, Capri's and T-Bird turbo coupes. Currently I have an 82 GT T-Top and an 84 RS T-top. Looking for a 79 pace car to pair with my 78 Corvette Pace Car. Man, time sure does fly, as the old saying goes. The days go slow and the years fly by.
