Ha good have to ask them next time seen. Did not know there were two of them in town.
Boy was way too hot out to drive the Mustang. Was 100+ in it when i headed out in the Ranger.
A gray cloth Ranger STX bucket is much more comfy than black vinyl with windows down.
M-24 is n-s so the sun bakes drivers headed north in traffic. Cant cruise with windows up and a/c.
Would have parked and stayed longer but had no chair. Too hot to tailgate. All the shady spots were taken.

They did look like stock Holley carbs. Had patina.
Typical cars seen at pre cruise week here on M-1 (Annual Woodward Dream Cruise week).
Lots of cruisers but not as many as prior WDC pre cruise Wednesdays but pretty good for a Wednesday. Great weather.
1962 automatic. Owners did HR's Power Tour once with another blown pickup LA to Detroit.
Not a real SD but nice car. 1963 Pontiac Lemans HP 326 with added sd scoop. Pretty sure it was an automatic.
Gas filler pipe under tilt down license plate.
Pipe curved up almost 90°, not straight like most license fill position that lose fuel if cap is gone or loose.
Woodward Ave thurs nite cruiser. Nice turnout.
I have seen this guy driving around a few times, might be more motorcycle than car.
The government considers it a motorcycle. Motorcycle engine, requires motorcycle license and insured as a bike. Pretty rare, fewer than 350 made before they went out of business.

Very cool! Never heard of those.

That scoop is not SD. It is off a 60's ford Truck (not pickup). Some trucks had 2 but most had them offset to one side and faced backwards.

Yup can remember well the Ford scoops on their trucks as a kid. The Tonka Toy heydays.
In fact, had a 57 Tonka hiway dump with one. Its gone, but now have a 57 Tonka fire pumper with one.
Naturally was comfortable and is special having bought a Ford with a engine that needed a factory hood scoop.
Forward centered, backwards, multiple. SD Gas or Diesel. One of our school busses had one.
Kind of the start of the scoop=power look.
Ford heavy trucks were commonly seen back then. A treat to see one of them still working now.
1957-1963 F700-1100, T700-950, B700-750.
1964-1969 F750-1100, N750-1100, T750-950, NT850-950.
1970-1972 F750-950, B750-950, LN600-700
A transit mix company doing new house concrete in my 60's neighborhood had a small fleet of new Ford CCab SD mixers.
Custom Cab feature and chrome badging was cool to see on a big Ford tandem axle truck.
The front end and cab sat up there real tall as a kid and now too. Peek inside when the driver got in and out.
The sounds and sights entertained onlookers for hours.
Pontiac sourced the SD scoop from Ford. Read they had their own Pontiac p/n. May be 196061626364.
An odd sort of thing that was done.
That car i seen looked like a real SD except read no Pontiac SD convertibles were made.

See one of those jet motorcars occasionally freeway commuting in the 90's.
May be the same one, now across the river rolling in Canada.
A white cat eye verti.
Huge trunk lids like an aircraft carrier. Trunk prob hold 6 teens sneaking into a drive-in.
It's literally a boat.
Saw this today, not sure if real or made to look like undercover traffic cop car. Has areo front end. What was last yr. for ssp?

They had SSP all the way up to the end in 1993. That is an early production 1990. Looks real to me. You can tell from the outside if you peek under it. Underneath the driver's seat there is extra bracing to keep the floor pan from cracking like the early ones all did.

Seen. Don't know how cool it is or what it is.
1979 automatic, Ghia badges on door panel. Version- handles up high, locks horiz.
Has back seat upper, no room for deleted lower cushion.
Doors decals say 'Mustang', smaller lettered 'Swift Edition'.
Trunk decals 'Mustang', small sticker 'Swift Edition', plate 'Sport Edition".

Got a rare chance to ride in a C8 Corvette Stingray Hardtop (is not the Coupe). Happy to see real styling in and out.
Retractable power hardtop with separate power up/down heated and centered rear glass window.
Hellofacar. Interior, exterior, details, drive ability manners (500hp), are mind blowing.
R and D are finger pull switches. N and P are push. Rotary knob under white console pad selects driving mode.
Steering wheel has two scroll wheels, buttons, including the Z button, to select most everything that is preset.
Top edge console buttons are push. Amazing everything somehow lets one focus easily on driving.
This Bose stereo system hit hard with high db at only 1/2 volume. Modern spacey looking dash contours.
A lot of serious thought, GM traditions, and tech magic are in these babies from Chevrolet.
