Good write-up on the Canadian variants.

Here's one I knew about from another forum:
    http://rolledon.forummotion.com/t809...iac-parisienne
my car came equipped from the factory with a 1967 chev impala frame suspension and engine basically the couple of things that are diffrent are everything! diffrent wheelbase from american pontiacs diffrent engine's =) the original engine was a 283 that was MADE IN CANADA =) but now it has a 305 out of a 84 gmc 1500 =) im starting the body work next week should be in paint by next month =)

Your friends' 427 cars sound pretty cool too.

Not sure if I see a longer or different wheelbase, he might well have meant the track width.

And to get back to the Blue Oval-ish track:

Hard to believe that it has been almost 5 years since I have posted here. Between retiring, moving 4000 miles East ( from Vancouver BC Canada to Nova Scotia, and finally getting my 59 Meteor 2 door sedan pretty much finished, I have been kinda busy. I still have my 78 Fairmont (over 35 years and counting!) The Fairmont now has a big bore 347 SBF, and I replaced the old Jerico 4 speed with a G Force G101A 4 speed. Ran a best this year of 10.01@132 mph, at 2 different dragstrip here in Eastern Canada. Fairmont looks the same as it has for the past 30 years. Here’s a couple of shots of my 59 Meteor, that I bought 19 years ago, but only got on the road in the Summer of 2020. It has a 428 Cobra Jet FE engine and a 4 speed Toploader, with a 31 spline 9” rearend. I have put a little over 3000 miles since getting it pretty much finished, although I am considering a pair of aluminum heads and a Tremec 5 speed. ( no overdrive kinda sucks).
