Maybe I'll just only drive the 85 during summer like the 88. Just bought a 99 Mustang to use for winter/work anyway.

After youve done a heater core, they really aren't that bad. I can do one on my car in about an hour. I use old broken.1/4" sockets as.restrictors, seems to work okay.

Yeah the one that is blown out in mine is a Ford one that only lasted one year and I don't daily drive mine and it's never been driven in winter. But it doesn't have the restrictor either. I have a NOS one to put in this winter and going to install the restrictor. Someone told me they like to blow out on the seams and they coat the seams with a light coating of gray silicone and it seems to work. Keeps it from rubbing in the heater box and give it some extra give. I may try it. Thinking of MAYBE putting the A/C back in the car too. We NEVER take the car out with the top up though so A/C may be a waste to reinstall. Will see what all I get done , as my to do list is pretty long for this winter.

I finished up installing a set of the Maximum Motorsports subframe connectors over the weekend and will hopefully start on the driveline removal to make way for a v8 transplant in the next few weeks. My new clutch kit came in and I have some UPR torque box reinforcements to put in along with some new door and sunroof seals.

Went to where my 85 is stored to start it up.....battery dead. I knew I should have not bought that AZ red top battery. I have the upgraded yellow top version in my 88 and it starts up no matter how long it sits. Do'h!

There were several seasons in a row where i was warrantying my one of those every single year in the spring, whether i stored it inside or not. Then last year came around, and i was ready to replace it with something better, and it held a charge and worked fine the whole summer.

    Go figure.
I did place a trickle charger on mine, maybe it will start next time I go there. Will be nice once I get the repaint done and drive it a lot more, might just be mad at me...LOL

Finished heater core change, new blower would blow more forcefully. Did I miss something?

Pics, new radiator and overflow, acumulator for ac. Changed oil in compressor, but didn't charge. We are expecting ice storm tonight and tomorrow. Wanted to finish heater work first.

Thought about going for a ride today (high temp 28*) after ~12" of snow Tuesday night, but it would have ended up being a sleigh ride with the "summer" tires on the McLaren, so she stayed home.

Default ts switch broke- graphic display came thru with warning.

Drove it yesterday. Last weeks snow is gone. Rain washed the salt off the roads.

The graphic display alerted me of a problem when i turned on headlights for the evening.
Otherwise, had no idea the RT turn or brake lights went out.
Lights were ok again a mile down the road.
Been noticing the rt turn signal was acting weird.
Finally the rt turn part of switch broke. Now have to hold it for RT ts.

Oh well. It was from a 1980 Zepher, cost 7.00 5/29/07 from the boneyard.
    Lasted almost 10 years.
Time for a brand new one.

Later the cluster light near the temp quit. Cluster light outages bug me.
    Gremlins.
It is hard wired, so its a simple fix of bulb or maybe it fell out of cluster.

    Nothing!

I have spent the entire week trying to sort through my parts stash again!

Most of the time has been trying to sort and combine all my ziplock bags of hardware that I have removed from different Foxes over the years! Unbelievable all the bolts, nuts, screws, brackets, etc. that I have accumulated. If I ever get it organized I will never have to buy a bolt, nut, screw, etc. for any of my Foxes that need to be finished!
