It's not just the car -- but it's the ad.
Perhaps he read all of our posts about bad pics and grammar.

    2002 Cavalier -- It's not a coupe, it's a coupé - $1500 (Kansas City)

    https://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5413854645.html

    2002 Chevrolet Cavalier
    condition: good
    cylinders: 4 cylinders
    drive: fwd
    fuel: gas
    odometer: 120000
    paint color: blue
    size: compact
    title status: clean
    transmission: manual
    type: coupe

Proof that is looks better in motion: https://youtu.be/ISblyV3u5ck (copy/paste link for true Cavalier experience!)

Like a fine Detroit wine, this compact hunk of American steel has only gotten better with age. Not only will it get you where you want to go without any hassle, it'll get you lots of places you don't want to go, like the DMV, jury duty or the gym. But with a manual five-speed transmission (six if you count reverse), at least it'll keep you occupied along the way. With some parts and know how from the parts store down the street, this could be the Power Commuter you've been looking for. Or, not looking for.

Somebody did a really good job on that ad for a $1500 car. More thought and time in it than most ads for cars going for 10 times as much.

    Probably an art student!

On a side note, my sister had a 01 Cav, as the years went by I got to work on it. I thought it was a pretty good little car, not worthy of the guff it seems to get even from Chevy fans. It died of cancer at 190k miles.

    That 77 T-Bird is nice.

Always interesting to consider the 77-79 T-Birds and Cougars. They were really just re-styles of the platform which began with the 72 Gran Torino and included various Torinos and Cougars, the Elite, and the LTD II. But there was something about the 77 T-Bird which made it a rousing success.
The styling, the infatuation at the time with large 2-door personal luxury cars, putting the T-Bird name on a lower priced vehicle all played a part.

I agree. It's also interesting -- to me -- that the 77-79 T-Birds also have side-to-side taillights -- but in a very different style than their predecessor.

I wonder if that's the original 1975 steering wheel. Looks later to me. I would think that a '75 would have come with pretty much the same wheel as a '57.

Wouldn't surprise me if that wheel's been replaced, those wheels were prone to some severe cracking back in the day.
