Smokin' some bad stuff in Cali:

Buy It Now for $125.00 (best pic shown):

    Attachment 117526

Here we have up for auction bidding is a very rare original Carroll Shelby, Dealer Ship Parts tag from Shelby Ford Inc., 1875 Lake Tahoe Blvd. South Lake Tahoe, CA. 95705. A nice collector item of the Ford,Autolite, AC Cobra, Daytona Coupe, GT 40,1965 GT350,1966 GT350 and the 1967 Shelby's history and beginnings and winning's. This is a Ford Motor Company,Autolite-Ford parts Division from the San Francisco Parts Depot 700 National Court, Richmond California with P.O. Box 1666, Richmond California 94804 and Shipped to Ford Dealer Account # 7776 and sent to Shelby Ford Inc., 1875 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, Ca 95705 and it is dated August 1967 and the part that was sent was a Autolite 913 AF. This was acquired many years ago in 1972 when I was a young kid starting out in the Mustang parts hobby and buying my first 1966 Mustang then. Over the year's I had work at Ford Parts Division and I personally knew Mr. Shelby and his son Pat Shelby over the years and have had many of encounter's and business dealing's with both of them over the years and a honor to have so. Also a Vintage CS logo decal is including from the past. Just a note, the shipping is only a estimate and at the end of the auction it will be adjusted and invoiced per the winner's zip code. Please feel free to make any and all reasonable offer's. Free shipping only in the lower 48 United States. Thank You ! Good Luck & Happy Bidding !God Bless to all ! God Bless America !
No charge for the superfluous apostrophes. Shipping BTW is free.

    1961 Thunderbird Kustom Pickup - $6500

The Thunderchero is with me here in Willits, CA 95490

It pains me to sell this. I tried to buy it in 1980, but it wasn't for sale. Found it years later, and I was building it as my daily driver, when other stuff got in the way.

The custom metalwork is good, the structure is excellent, the bed is finished inside, it's got a tailgate! and a nice fiberglass bed cover.
    Very, very, little rust.

Glass and chrome are good for the street.

Swing away wheel was an option in '61.

    Air shocks on rear.

The entire exhaust is new. New Edlebrock carb, fuel pump, clean gas tank. New dizzy, tune up parts, etc, etc.

New brakes all around including dual master and new booster.

Still needs some minor mechanical. On non op, but you could probably drive it home with a trip permit from DMV.

I intended to revamp the "B" post detail with the extra Thunderbird roof skin shown in the pics. But you could do a little body work, shoot it with suede and be good to go.

$6500 does not even cover my real costs, all my labor is free. $6500 or NEAR offer.

I remember the removable hard top being part of the plan with the SN95 came out. I don't think they lasted long as a factory option though.

    Very true.

This model year was the only year for the convertible hardtop, and with only 499 models available, it has become a sought after collectible. The hardtop/ragtop was installed as a prototype on a few V6 and GT Mustangs, which have found their way into private hands, but were never "officially" produced.
No Triumph Stag or Benz CLK pop up rollover bar in the links though.

As mentioned above, this was a factory built item. Only the Cobras mentioned ever received them. They were intended for regular production models, even the V6 but proved too expensive and complicated to manufacture reliably. The 1994 Mustang brochure shows this as an available option including pictures but says something like "available later in the year" or something like that. I have a 5 foot tall dealer cardboard display that shows it

Not a craigslist ad, but I thought someone here might be interested in this.

As I mentioned a few months ago, I've been watching Rust Valley on Netflix. For those who don't know, some guy in Canada has been dragging home cars for 40+ years and "storing" them in his field. A year or so ago he put up a shop, brought in some mechanics and a body guy and started restoring them hoping to make some money selling them.

So I'm watching season 2 now and just googled the shop name to see if they had a website, they do. That's where I saw this listed.

    1979 Mustang Pace Car
302 5 speed, numbers matching, needs paint, interior and floor.
Was running. Bill of sale, no reg. $5000 canadian.

    Convair 240 Airplane-RV Conversion with International Diesel Engine (1 - $27,950 (Ventura)

    https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sf...302582667.html

    1957 Convair 240
    Odometer: 9800
    VIN# 14R3002954109
    Engine: International
    Transmission: Automatic
    Description
this is a great item to place on your property and rent it out as an air bnb then take it out for a weekend trip!
The ‘’Andromeda’’ is for sale. I’ve seen many RV’s in my time, but THIS ONE takes the cake! How cool would it be to live in an airplane converted into an RV. Think you could live in something like this…? All off grid possible, powered by 50 amp landline plus generator and solar power, this would be a very unique way to live sustainably. Enjoy a few drinks in your personal Jacuzzi in the living area inside the main body of a real retired aircraft. Andromeda is registered with the state of California, albeit as a 1979 Pace Arrow motorhome. A rescued 1957 Convair 240 airplane became 1980’s motorhome with full amenities, and even a hot tub! The tail section ramp raises and lowers electrically. A huge berth is located in the overhang including electric fans , stereo and you can open the roof and sleep with the stars. There are also bunk beds located in the plane located behind the cockpit, the plane sleeps 4. Also included is a bathroom, and a kitchen. Built on a heavy duty Diesel chassis with International diesel engine.
The plane cockpit has two seats and is drivable on both seats.
Built in the early 1980s by Tony Tosta and Jason Von Straussenburg. Jason, with help from Tony and others, renovated a 54-foot airplane, took out the undercarriage and replaced it with the inner-workings of a Pace Arrow motorhome. Dubbed the Andromeda after the Ethiopian princess of Greek mythology, the plane was parked behind the auto house on Trigo Road, where Jason worked. It was hidden behind some bamboo and brush, but being a huge airplane. Andromeda is registered with the state of California, albeit as a 1979 Pace Arrow motorhome. The Andromeda can cruise down the freeway at a comfortable 65 mph The Andromeda even had its brush with fame. When Toad the Wet Sprocket came to play in Santa Barbara in the ’90s, they used the Andromeda as a sort of greenhouse. There is plenty of storage in the cargo area. The plane/RV needs some TLC and paint job to make it perfect.
